Fine Regency Penwork Chinoiserie Tea Caddy circa 1800
About the Item
A fine Regency penwork rectangular tea caddy in the Chinoiserie taste with lacquered surface, foliate and figural decoration on all sides, including the interior, with an elephant handler on the hinged lid. The two interior tea compartments are foil lined, with some loss. This English caddy dates to circa 1800 and is in very good overall condition, with minor surface imperfections and wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: Approximately 5.25 in H x 8.75 in W x 5.38 in D. Ref: 787
