Minton Majolica Pottery Girl Harvester Figurine 1864
About the Item
A stunning Minton majolica pottery figure depicting a girl harvester figurine dating from 1864. The figure sits raised on a round pedestal base and holds a large oval shaped basket under one arm. The figure is finely detailed and hand painted in brightly colored majolica glazes with nicely detailed facial features and with long pleated hair tied back with a ribbon. Painted in tones of brown, yellow, green, white and turquoise blue with pink highlights. The figure has impressed MINTON marks to the base along with a date code for 1864.
