Christopher Dresser, Ault Pottery Persian Ewer, circa 1890, England

About the Item

Christopher Dresser designed for the Ault Pottery in the 1890's, taking a lot of inspiration from middle eastern designs, in particular, Persia, of which this an example of a Persian oil ewer. Finely potted with a glorious vibrant glaze of great depth and tonal dexterity. All in all, a very stylish example of the designer/potter's art. In superb condition.
