Green Majolica Ceramic Serving Tureen Set California Pottery, Mid 20th Century

About the Item

A polychrome verdigris green and blue majolica California Pottery Serving Tureen with lid and underplate. This set will be great for serving soups, casseroles, or a variety of other dishes. An underplate is decorated with raised leaves glazed in a mix of blue and green. A round tureen sits atop the underplate and features the same raised leaf design glazed in the same verdigris blue and green. The lid sits atop the tureen and matches the design of the set. It has a small round handle with decorated leaves at the top. The footing on both the underplate and the tureen is unglazed, in white clay. Marked at the bottom with CALIF. USA 374. Dimensions: Dish: 9.5" Diameter 4" Tall Lid: 8.25" Diameter 3.25" Tall Bottom Plate: 11.5" Diameter 2" Tall Overall Dimensions: 11.5" Diameter 7" Tall.
