AVem Large Vintage Italian Murano Glass Paperweight
About the Item
A large and impressive vintage Italian Murano glass paperweight made by Arte Vetreria Muranese (A.V.e.M.) and dating from around 1935. The large hand blown domed clear glass paperweight contains scattered coloured twisted ribbons and muslin canes with gold aventurine recorded as Tutti Fruitti or Bizzantina design. The heavily made and large weight has a polished base with wear commensurate with age and use. The paperweight is not marked.
Provenance: Acquired in the British Art Market.
In good original condition with a few minor making flaws to the body.
