English Attributed Antique Concentric Cane Design Glass Paperweight

About the Item

An unusual antique English attributed glass concentric cane paperweight dating from the 19th century. The hand blown paperweight is of round shallow domed shape with seven concentric rows of canes in a mushroom shape, predominantly in white with colored centers, arranged around a single central cane. The canes are drawn in at the base which has a polished flat central pontil ridged section with a flat foot around the edge. An unusual paperweight and not marked. Provenance: From the private collection of a Belgium based gentleman. In a good condition with wear associated with age and use, particularly to the foot rim.
