Beautiful Tall Blue Cameo Glass Vase by Charles Schneider "La Verre Francais"

About the Item

Beautiful blue tall vase manufactured with the Cameo Glass technique by Charles Schneider signed "Charder" for "La Verre francais" (The French Glass). Charder was the company created by the brothers Ernest and Charles Schneider in 1917 , Ernest was an entrepreneur with business ability while Charles was an artist with experience in fine glass manufacturing. The name was formed with the first part of Char(les) first name and the last part of (Schneid)er. Cameo glass is a technique in which several layers of colored glass are fused together and the outer layer(s) removed by carving or by acid baths to produce the finished high-quality piece. This vase is a real collector´s item, its size is not very common.
