Mid-Century Modern Circa 1960 From our Decanter collection, we are pleased to offer this German Silver Mounted Glass Pitcher. The Glass picture of globular form with large rounded hand-cut glass body, star cut base and decorated body mounted with a 925 silver lid and handle. The lid with a large thumb tab for lifting the lid open on the hinge, stamped to the collar of the mount 925 sterling with a crescent moon, crown and HW monogram for German silversmiths Emil Hermann. The Silver & Crystal Glass Jug pitcher can hold 5 pints / 2.8 Litres or 2.5 quarts of your favourite Drink. 925 Sterling refers to the alloy of metal containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper or zinc. Sterling Silver objects are stamped with the 925 mark to confirm their authenticity. Emil Hermann is a German Silversmiths from Waldstetten, Southern Germany operating from 1921 until present day.
