Saint-Louis French Crystal Water Pitcher 'Bubbles'
By Saint Louis
Located in LA CIOTAT, FR
A supremely elegant Saint-Louis crystal carafe, or water pitcher, from the 'Bubbles' collection, and dating from around 1985. This hand-crafted jug features the hallmark dotty 'bubble' engravings on the body of the jug, as well as the stack of crystal 'marbles' forming the stem. A prominent and well- proportioned handle and finely shaped spout complete the design. One of the most celebrated manufacturers of crystal glass in the world, Saint-Louis has been producing high-quality crystal since 1586 in the Saint-Louis-les- Bitche region of Moselle, in north-eastern France. Wine decanter in Baccarat crystal, La Croisette model
By Cristalleries De Baccarat
Located in LA ROCHEPOT, FR
Wine decanter in Baccarat crystal. La Croisette model. Circa 1930. Service created by Georges Chevalier, prolific and talented creator of glass services and artistic director of Baccarat from the 1930s to the 1970s. We owe him the pure lines of the most remarkable pieces in which no decoration intervenes and which owe their price with the merit of the form. In the same line as the Pour le Yacht model created in 1925, the La Croisette service uses the same massive square foot with, this time, a balloon-shaped chalice. Model listed in the Baccarat catalog 1939. Presented at the Baccarat Museum, place des Etats-Unis in Paris.   Height: 9.52". Height without stopper: 8.46". Diameter at the widest: 4.44". Capacity: 90 cl (30.43 US fl oz). Decanter not stamped, but there remains the trace of a Baccarat paper...
