Stig Lindberg, Fajans, Gustavsberg, Plate

About the Item

Product description: This faience earthenware piece was designed by Stig Lindberg for Gustavsberg. His faience pieces are decorated by a total of 36 different painters, this particular piece was painted by Karin Gustavsson of whom the signature is at the bottom of the bowl (a crown-like W). The bowl has a nice rounded-rectangular shape, the striped painting on the bowl along with its form makes it look a bit like a melon.   Product condition: The bowl is in a good shape but has some craquelé (visible on the pictures). The bowl has a chip on one corner (visible on the pictures) which probably occured during production.  Weight: 685g.
