About the Item
Legacy of Elegance: 19th Century Japanese Cloisonné Enamel Plate Attributed to Namikawa Yasuyuki
This exquisite Japanese Cloisonné masterpiece, attributed to the skilled artisan Namikawa Yasuyuki, is a captivating celebration of nature and symbolism. The intricate design features a harmonious composition of vibrant flowers and delicate butterflies meticulously crafted using the cloisonné technique. Each petal and wing comes to life with brilliant enamel hues, showcasing Yasuyuki's mastery in capturing the ephemeral beauty of the natural world.
The composition is elevated by the presence of Ho Ho birds gracefully encircling the central motif. The mythical birds, symbolizing longevity and good fortune, add a touch of mystique to the artwork. Among the blooms and avian figures, the lotus flowers stand out with their symbolic significance of purity and enlightenment. The careful attention to detail and the use of vibrant colors make this Namikawa Yasuyuki Cloisonné piece not only a testament to technical skill but also a visual poem that invites viewers to appreciate the intricate balance of nature and artistry.
