19th Century Wood and Hughes New York Coin Silver Tea Set

About the Item

A heavy, three-piece, 19th century American coin silver tea set by the renowned New York silversmiths, Wood & Hughes. Finely engraved with vine and leafwork panels that alternate with panels of etched diamond fields. The central cartouches each bear an early monogram. The three dimensional finials are stylized pheasants. Each piece has a very sturdy feel in the hand and is constructed with heavy gauge solid coin silver. Measurements: Teapot height: circa 9 1/2 in. Sugar bowl height: circa 8 1/4 in. Creamer height: circa 7 1/2 in. Weight: circa 80 troy ounces. Items purchased from David Sterner Antiques must delight you.
