Italian Early 19th Century Giltwood Floor Lamp
About the Item
A monumental Italian early 19th century giltwood floor lamp. The lamp is supported by the original stone base below the patinated oxblood fut. The fut continues with a giltwood acanthus leaf and twisted design below the block carved acanthus leaf element. Above are a pair of large scrolled acanthus leaves and scalloped plateau decorated with foliate carvings a central shell and more scrolls. At the top are two impressive S scrolled arms centered by a large scrolled acanthus leaf . All original gilt.
