- Large Antique Soild Oak Sculpture of Saint John the Baptist w. Lamb of God 1850Located in Lisse, NLUnique hand carved church statue of Jewish prophet, John the Baptist, circa 1850. When you think of the life of Saint John the Baptist (or Baptiste as it is spelled here) then you can only come to the conclusion that in fact he was one of the most important human beings in the history of the world in general and of Christianity in particular. Also, because it was most used in antique churches all over Europe and this Style also is most used in antique religious paintings of the old masters. Just like with 17th century Baroque Saint...Category
