French Regence Style Giltwood Barometer

About the Item

French Regence style giltwood barometer and thermometer, surmounted with an acanthus leaf cartouche draped with flowers and swags, the dial is flanked with pillar and ribbon carvings, and a scallop shell with laurel leaves ornaments the bottom. The barometer has been restored to working condition with a new mercury tube. Please note: This barometer is available only for local pick up and cannot be shipped due to the mercury tube.

    Replacements made: New mercury tube has been added to barometer. Wear consistent with age and use. Very good overall condition with some wear and scratches to gilding, consistent with age and use; mercury tube has been restored and is functioning.
