Early 19th Century, Anglo Indian Iron Bird Cage
About the Item
Early 19th century, Anglo-Indian iron bird cage. Fabulous temple shaped design with 4 minarets and one large domed central area.
Superb craftsmanship within the ironwork detailing and finishing.
The door has an fine iron bar which slides within an iron tube set into the door, which is very unusual.
The cage has one opening door, original feeding dishes and swinging perch. Measures: 48cm width/depth, 42cm height.
This is a heavy piece as it is fully constructed in iron, no wooden parts
Stunning dressing piece for decorative/display use.
