A Rare Brown Velvet Eight-Fold Screen

About the Item

This wonderful stunning large eight-fold screen could serve as a room divider or as a piece of art. A folding screen, also known as pingfeng (Chinese), dates back to China during the Eastern Zhou period. Despite having its roots in China, folding screens are now a common feature in interior designs all across the world. This eye-catching eight-panel folding screen is made of a brown velvet upholstery, decorated with copper studs. Each rare velvet panel is divided into three parts by decorative studs, to which they are generally framed with the same decorative studs. The eight panels are connected with copper metal hinges.
