Antique Samarkan Rug, circa 1900s

About the Item

This is an antique Samarkan from East Turkistan, circa 1900s. It features diamond-like shapes inset with delicate interconnecting flowers in a palette of soft, bright colors salmon, ivory, blues reds, greens. Framing the field are multiple borders decorated with lovely floral patterns and cloud motifs, each with it's its own individual personality.
