Antique Samarkand Rug, circa 1900s

About the Item

This is an antique Samarkand rug from East Turkistan, circa 1900s. Three circular medallions float on a red field that is surrounded by an infinity border and another outer border. Tones of muted reds, ivories, navys and greys, convey a feeling of elegance and tranquillity. The condition of the rug is fair with some color restoration.
