Pure Wool Mohtasham Persian Carpet, Cream, Red, and Blue, 5' x 7'

About the Item

This 5' x 7' pure wool Persian area rug in cream, red, and blue has been handknotted in the Orley Shabahang Mohtasham weave. Measuring exactly 4'7" x 7'0", the beauty of this masterpiece, with its timeless traditional design, transcends dimensions. The weave chosen for this carpet possesses an extraordinary fineness to capture the intricacy of this traditional design with its swooping vines and floral motifs. Woven entirely by hand using only the lanolin-rich wool from Persian fat-tailed sheep, the stunning dyes used in this carpet are produced only from organic vegetable sources. Utilizing the same processes used to create the fine Persian antiques, artisans continue to weave with the same methods to create carpets as durable as they are beautiful.
