About the Item

Antique very fine quality 18th Century Dutch marquetry elbow arm or desk chair. Could also be used as a side, hall or carver chair.. Exceptional marquetry and carving. Solid and strong, with no loose joints. These are rare and this example is better than most. Full of age, character and charm. An elegant attractive chair with good age and patina. The seat and arms have been professionally reupholstered recently and is in very good condition. Would look great in the right location! Overall maximum dimensions: 61cmW x 55cmD x 97cmH (46cm high seat when sat on, 74cm high arms) In very good antique condition with historic knocks, marks, scratches, wear, losses, imperfections and repairs, as is to be expected with functional antique furniture of this age. A few historic extinct woodworm holes that have been treated for good measure. Stock No. 8373.
