Bauhaus trained, Mexico City based designer, Michael Van Beuren created highly functional modern pieces inspired by Mexican vernacular styles and materials. This example, c.1950s Mexico has a pine frame with a woven rattan seat. The piece lays flat and can be used as a bench or even a table. As a lounger it is adjustable at the seat back and footrest.
