Walter Knoll 369 armchair

About the Item

The Walter Knoll 369 Armchair was designed in 1956 by the Walter Knoll Team. At the time, the vast majority of the German furniture industry consisted of classic, solid furniture with a sleek design. But Walter Knoll ushered in a new era with this soft and organically shaped chair. Around the same time, Charles and Ray Eames introduced their famous Eames Plastic Chair, a modern bucket chair, just like the 369 Armchair. Although the design of this armchair was innovative, the design was not a total break with the past. There are clear influences from Bauhaus, avant-garde and the Scandinavian design tradition in the armchair. The result is a comfortable chair that feels at home in any living style. The armchair is in very good condition without discoloration or significant damage. More seats available per request.
