Walter Knoll – 369 – Lounge Chair – Set of 2 – Warm Grey – Germany

About the Item

The Walter Knoll 369 Armchair was designed by the Walter Knoll Team in 1956. At that time, the vast majority of the German furniture industry consisted of classic, solid furniture with a straightforward design. But Walter Knoll ushered in a new era with this soft and organically shaped chair. Around the same time, Charles and Ray Eames introduced their famous Eames Plastic Chair, a modern bucket chair, just like the 369 Fauteuil. Although the design of this armchair was innovative, the design was not a total break with the past. There are clearly influences from Bauhaus, avant-garde and the Scandinavian design tradition in the armchair. The result is a comfortable chair that feels at home in any living style. The chairs are in good condition. More chairs available per request.
