Mastercraft Restored White Lacquered Wood & Chrome Plated Bronze Cabinet Buffet
Located in North Miami, FL
This absolutely stunning very gloriously restored Mastercraft white lacquered over mahogany wood long cabinet, buffet or console was a custom piece at the time of 1975. This magnificent piece has door knocker chrome plated over bronze dramatic hardware. They have been all re plated over the bronze as was before. The base is aluminum and has been polished to near perfection. The hinges also have been chrome plated to match. The dramatic and heavy hardware on the doors gives the cabinet a great modern look. The door knockers have been re-- chrome plated to match all the other areas. They are very heavy. While this cabinet has been attributed to the style and work of Tommi Parzinger it is a custom Mastercraft piece. This is now modern, fabulous and timeless. It is 101 inches long. There are 3 compartments; the one on the left has 3 drawers, the middle one has shelves and the end one has shelves and drawers. It becomes timeless and has drama with modernity to it. It is stellar! It is ready to be shipped and purchased. No wait in stock. Please note that this has had the highest level of restoration and is a very special cabinet that will transcend time. it is 101 inches wide and a monumental gorgeous cabinet...

20th Italian Cabinet on Stand, Baroque Bargueno with Inlays & Mounts
Located in Miami, FL
Italian cabinet on table. Walnut and rosewood, hawksbill, bronze in color and gilded, 20th century. Sample desktop pool located on ball and claw with handles on the sides. The buffet or table that holds barguen~era is carved legs insured by lower chambrana (also machined with a given center) together and to the cover by curved metal fasteners capped scroll. Barguen~o paws have claw-shaped carved synthesized bird on ball, something very typical of the seventeenth century. The cover has this elegant geometric decoration, and so do the five drawers discover: the decoration of the side to diamonds made in marquetry by dark wood inlaid fillets of light, an element that is repeated in the interior of the chapel is reduced. As usual in the baroque barguen~o, the center of the sample is where the decoration is conducted, in general, based on areas tortoiseshell framed or highlighted with dark wood moldings and surrounded by sinuous curved lines made in marquetry, always maintaining symmetry. T The general outline of the furniture is very common in all the European Baroque and the compositional clarity not break until the arrival of the Rococo. All decorative elements, based on the classical tradition, are characteristic of this type of furniture: desks with outdoor displays of this scheme are known and performed throughout Europe, with a Flemish influence in its creation, the Italians being the most valued for their decoration. The practice of employing tortoiseshell plates...

Vintage, New and Antique Buffets

For get-togethers or large celebratory meals in your already sumptuous dining area, a charming and durable vintage, new or antique buffet, with its decorative and practical features, can truly elevate the experience.

Although often used as a synonym for “sideboard,” a buffet technically possesses a tiered or shelved superstructure for displaying decorative kitchenware. The term derives from buffet à deux corps, a piece that is seen mostly in French Provincial furniture. And while the terms “case pieces” and “case goods” may cause even the most decor-obsessed to stumble, these furnishings — which include buffets, credenzas, cupboards and other must-have items — have been a vital part of the home for centuries.

Buffets are the ideal place to keep serveware and larger serving pieces that you’d rather have tucked away when not in use. They’re typically long and low and can be the perfect option for serving food as well as storing your porcelain and making your space tidy and organized. Feel free to dress up your buffet between meals with decorative objects or stacks of art books.

A buffet can be positioned in your living room, entryway or hall if space allows. But if you intend to permanently pair your case piece with your dining room table, when shopping for your vintage buffet you’ll definitely want to think about your dining room’s space restrictions. Allow for at least two feet of space between your buffet and your table so that guests can easily move to and fro as needed, and a buffet that is convenient for serving food should be as high as a kitchen counter if possible.

If you’re looking for inspiration for your home bar or dining area, find Art Deco buffets, mid-century modern buffets, Hollywood Regency buffets and other varieties on 1stDibs today.
