English 19th Century Oak Gun Cabinet with Single Glass Door and Inner Drawers

About the Item

An English oak gun cabinet from the 19th century, with single glass door, felt interior, wooden doors and inner drawers. Created in England during the 19th century, this oak gun cabinet features a molded and beveled cornice overhanging a single glass door opening to the green felt fitted interior made to store the rifles. The lower section presents a pair of doors with carved panels, opening thanks to a teardrop pull to three hidden drawers and a lower shelf. The drawers showcase ornate brass handles. The sides are plain except for the division between the upper and lower section. The back is, of course, simply planked and unfinished. The ensemble is raised on four bracket feet. With its simple lines and oak patina, this tall English gun cabinet from the 19th century will make for an elegant addition to any home, particularly placed in a mountain cabinet or country home.
