18th Century French Walnut Commode with Marble Top Stamped "N. Petit"
About the Item
French 18th century transitional style walnut commode with a thick Gris St. Anne marble top (1 1/8" thick) and very nice patina. The commode is stamped "N. Petit" and "JME" for the guild of jointers and cabinet-makers ("Jurande des Menuisiers Ebenistes"). The commode has three top drawers (including the "secret" drawer in the center) and two lower drawers.
