1950s Pagoda Style Split Bamboo Aquarium

About the Item

Hand made int he Philippines in the 1950s, this pagoda-style split bamboo aquarium is the ultimate conversation piece. The possibilities for this one are endless--use it as an aquarium, terrarium, dry bar, or just as a statement piece. We used it as an aquarium for two years and can certify this it is water tight and that the built in outlet works. There is also wiring for a fluorescent light but we haven't tested it and it may need some tweaking. Pagoda roof opens up and can be lifted off completely, and take also separates from the base. In great vintage condition with some wear around the corners and a small piece of bamboo missing from the back.
