Gaetano work table by Gae Aulenti for Zanotta - Italy - 70's

About the Item

Gaetano work table by Gae Aulenti for Zanotta with original glass top supported by two folding trestles in black and red enamelled metal. Timeless object. With a dry and essential design, it combines modernity and elegance. It can be placed in many different contexts from home to professional and, in each one, it stands out for its personality and refinement. Gae Aulenti, pseudonym of Gaetana Emilia Aulenti (1927 - 2012), was an Italian designer and architect, particularly dedicated to the theme of architectural staging and restoration. Considered one of the best architects of her generation, she has left an indelible mark on the history of international design. Over the course of her long career, she has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Imperial Prize for Architecture awarded by the Japan Art Association of Tokyo. She graduated in architecture at the Milan Polytechnic in 1953, where he also obtained the qualification for the profession. Gae Aulenti trained as an architect in the Milan of the fifties, where Italian architecture is engaged in the historical and cultural research of recovering the architectural values of the past and the existing built environment that will flow into the Neoliberty movement. Aulenti is part of this trend, which disagrees with rationalism. Zanotta believes in an idea of furniture and accessories capable of building pleasant relationships. Products with a soul that become part of people's stories and stories, finding their ideal space. Zanotta products are designed to fit in without claiming to belong to a style, alongside other products through the layering of experiences and passions that characterize each context, making it unique and identifying. Each time this happens in a different way, sometimes unexpected, because it is interpreted by different subjects.
