Original vintage poster for London Zoo featuring a great charcoal drawing of The Hoolock Gibbon swinging through trees by the Polish artist G Stanislaus Brien (who designed posters for London Transport in 1935, as well as the London & North Eastern Railway / LNER and Shell), the stylised text below: The Zoo stations Regents Park Camden Town St Johns Wood open weekdays 9 am till dusk Admission 1/- Mondays 6d Children 6d with the London Underground Transport roundel logo. London Zoo opened in 1828 and is the world's oldest scientific zoo, located in Regent's Park in northwest London. Good condition, restored paper losses, restored tears, rough bottom edge, backed on linen.
