Signed lithograph by Swedish artist Bengt Lindström. This Piece is titled 'Personnage' and is number 16 out of a limited amount of 99. BL is frequently associated with the Cobra movement. This piece was a part of an art rotation group in Denmark along side with pieces by Corneille and Alechinsky. Please see the photos of the details to the back as well. It has its 'original' frame from the 1960s-1970s.

Bengt Lindström
Bengt Lindström began his artistic training by attending the Stockholm Academy (1944-1945) and the Isaac Grünewald School of Painting. He then drew with Aksel Jorgensen in Copenhagen in 1946, before going to Chicago (1946-1947) and moving to Paris. There he worked in the studios of Fernand Léger and André Lhote. In 1949, he began to paint less figuratively and more colourfully. He had his first solo exhibition in Sweden in 1954 at the Gummesson Art Fair. From the 1950s onwards, he participated in several group exhibitions and salons in Paris (Réalités nouvelles; Salon d'octobre). Although he is often formally associated with Cobra painting and is a friend of Jorn, the artist claims to be more influenced by the Nordic painting of Nolde, Munch or Ensor. He is also influenced by folk art, Sami mythology and the shamans of the Far North.
