About the Item
This is an absolutely stunning antique Art Nouveau - Belle Epoque Coral Cameo Brooch Bar Pin with Enamel Flower and Leaf Design in 14 Karat Gold in a monumental four inch length. The Coral Cameo is exquisite with a high relief carving of a classical woman. The color of the coral is a beautiful orange-pink color. The coral cameo is set in a 14 Karat Gold open work leaf and flower motif design which is adorned with gorgeous green enamel over the beautiful repousse gold work. The artistry and craftsmanship of this Art Nouveau masterpiece is of the highest quality. The wonderful color combination of the coral with the warm gold and green enamel creates a nature inspired jewel of great beauty. This creates a magical effect and one that is very rare to find in cameo jewels. The Cameo is the work of a master artisan. The woman is beautifully carved with very high three dimensional relief and delicate details. The brooch pin has a fabulous safety catch that folds up when the pin is in place to secure the pin to the garment. The brooch dates to circa 1890.
