Vintage Various Art Nouveau Brooches with Gemstones
About the Item
Three various brooches, all with the finest gold work from the early 1900's, are from the far right, a Rikers brooch in 14 Kt with a sapphire and diamond. Rikers is a highly reputed jewelry firm from Newark that made jewelry when the American jewelry industry was young. It's jewelry has appreciated in value consistently. The sapphire weighs approx .30 cts. The diamond, a cushion cut stone weighs approx. .10 cts. Price: $1900. Gemstones were inserted for embellishment and the skill of the artist was made to shine. There is a large hook on the reverse to hold a watch or another gem. Excellent condition. The center brooch. The center brooch, all curves typical of the era, is French and 18 Kt gold. The open relief is created with scrolls, roses and flowers that look like cornflower. An old European diamond of approx. 12 pts is at center teardrop shaped pearl puts the final touch at bottom. A tubular clasp securely holds the brooch closed. Price: $2300. Excellent condition. The swirls of the leftmost pin is enameled in light pink and set with an amethyst is approx. 1.5 cts. It is 14 Kt and priced at $450. Perfect condition. Measurements: Rikers: W. 1 1/8th inch. H. 1 1/4 in. Weight 6.2 grams. Center French brooch. W. 1 1/2 in. H. 1 3/8 in. Perfect Condition. Weight 10.4 grams. The small amethyst pin is 1 1/8th inch wide and 1/2 inch high. It weighs 4.2 grams and is in perfect condition.
