Vintage Retro Los Castillo Cloak Holder/Brooch
About the Item
An unusual creation of Los Castillo from c. 1940's is the cloak holder or pair of brooches made by the hand of the noted Mexican jeweler. It is one of his rare items and unusual to find the two parts. The pair is a satiny sterling silver. They can be worn on a jacket or dress, or clipped together to hold your shawl or cloak. The detail is crisp. As they are rarely seen today, these dramatic pieces are eye catching. No reason they cannot be worn clipped together at the neckline of a dress or shirt. The offering is in excellent condition. No signs of age or wear other than a bit of tarnish in hard to reach places. An unusual gift for a person with their own unique sense of style. Length 4 3/4 inches each.
