Antique Art Nouveau Gorham Sterling Silver Pitcher or Ewer with Enamel Flowers
About the Item
An extremely rare, antique Art Nouveau sterling silver & enamel pitcher.
By Gorham.
With a hand-hammered body having floral decoration to both sides.
The front side is decorated with polychrome enamels.
Gorham produced a very limited series of floral enameled vessels (for only about 2 years) at the very end of the 19th century.
Marked to the base for Gorham, Sterling, a trident for 1897, and 1624M.
Simply a stunning piece of Art Nouveau silver!

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
There are some solder repairs to the seams, a spot of loss to the enamel, some possible repairs the enamel (though it's hard to tell if there really are any repairs there - there may not be), and some light surface irregularities. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
