A superb antique 18th-Century Dutch Delft faience charger with the 'Peacock' pattern, circa 1750. Maker's mark on reverse: MQ/J for Quirinus Mesch. This lovely large 13.8" plate has a hand painted peacock design in cobalt blue and white with a golden yellow rim. It's in excellent condition for its age with colors that are still amazingly vibrant and fresh. This beautiful charger would be fabulous added to a collection or displayed on a shelf or cabinet in any room. I personally love to have a Delft charger on my coffee table...

A scarce antique early American country single drawer lift-top faux grain painted blanket chest - mule chest with beautifully aged warm rich patina, circa 1780
Hand-crafted in the New England region of the Northeastern United States in the second half of the 18th century, comprised of solid wood, most likely pine or poplar, since expensive woods were hard to find throughout the Colonies, especially the rural areas, it features the original rich warm Colonial hand painted faux cherry graining finish and beautifully aged reddish brown patina. Crafted in period English Chippendale taste, having a hinged lid door at the top that flips open to reveal the large sized storage trunk, fitted with a small compartment for storing smaller items. Over a single full-length drawer with quality hand-cut dovetail joinery and affixed with an unusual trio of brass batwing pulls. Raised on ogee bracket feet with carved and molded edge trim.
