This incredible dress was sold at Gandini which acted as a couture retailer authorized to sell Paris haute couture for clients who couldn't travel to Paris for multiple fittings. Along side Christian Dior and Chanel, Jean Dessès is one of the most important designers of the 20th century and was a designated Haute Couture house under the official Chambre Syndicale de la Couture.
