About The Luster Kind
The Luster Kind is a Los Angeles-based boutique design studio dedicated to transforming in-home, office and public engagement, use and style. Rooted in design history and ancient and modern art and architecture, its vision centers on reimagined interiors and adornment with world-wide influence. The studio offers a multi-tiered approach for maximum accessibility with a commitment to showcase refined modern design with natural materials, craftsmanship, a connection to nature and a collective multi-cultured past.
Studio founder Nana Taimour Oldach studied film directing and pursues interests in various art forms and worldwide travel. Her designs tell stories, applying cinematic layering, colors, objects and lighting to evoke different moods and emotions. Objects play roles and the designs offer narratives in creative utility, space unification, re-purposing and styling. Experimentation combines bespoke creations, vintage legends and contemporary artisans with textured finishes and materials for new authentic design storytelling. These unique stories reflect her client’s needs and personalities as TLK is client-based with a focus on relationships and the client experience.
