In Kalin Asenov's studio located in Savannah, GA, each piece is meticulously handcrafted using the slab construction technique.
This ancient method of hand-building creates a direct and enduring link between the artist and the artifact.
The shapes are formed without the use of a pottery wheel, employing only the hands and basic tools. Each labor-intensive piece begins with a predefined design, yet the construction process and the variability of natural materials ensure that each creation is subtly distinct. Variations may include slight differences in size, a gentle undulation in the clay, or a variation in the glaze's intensity.
The end product is a unique and exceptional item, its traits bearing witness to the artist's personal touch.

Kalin Asenov entwirft und fertigt Leuchten in Savannah, GA.
