Can Prado
Can Prado is a soulful reimagining of a traditional Ibicencan villa through the lens of curated comfort, tactile materials, and elevated 70s-inspired design. Nestled in the hills of Ibiza, this private residence was transformed into a living gallery of warm textures, vintage accents, and relaxed sophistication.
The design language draws from the island’s architectural heritage, thick whitewashed walls, archways, and exposed wooden beams, yet is interpreted with a contemporary softness and intentionality. IDC envisioned Can Prado as a serene yet expressive retreat where each element, from sculptural armchairs in vintage ikat to handcrafted ceramic lighting, contributes to an atmosphere of understated glamour and organic flow.
Key to the project was the layering of collector-level design pieces and custom furnishings with subtle nods to Ibiza’s artistic soul. Natural stone, tactile upholstery, woven textures, and reclaimed timber converge in a palette that feels both grounded and sensual. A sense of rhythm defines each room, with built-in lounges, oversized modular sofas, and tonal artworks creating vignettes for gathering, resting, and reflecting.
Can Prado encapsulates IDC’s design ethos: interiors that feel effortless yet intentional, rooted in cultural context while resonating with international elegance. More than a home, it is a mood, soft-edged, sun-drenched, and quietly cinematic.
