In this project, every inch was precious. Our team maintained the original 3” interior wall thickness that required creative plumbing, greatly expanded the kitchen into a galley, added a built-in dining area, and divided the existing living room in two to create a separate mudroom entrance.
Creative details in the kitchen like mesh doors, wood knobs, and peek-a-boo cut outs were researched to maintain authenticity to the 1930s. Both creatives, our clients wanted their personalities to shine through which we captured the bold uses of color and pattern that evoked their childhood.
