When designing this apartment, there was a focus on separating the public spaces from the private ones. In what was once an open layout, custom hand-painted sliding panels were added to separate the family room - just beyond the panels - from the more formal living space. The goal was to give the client flexibility in keeping an open plan for their family, while elegantly separating the spaces when entertaining guests.
