Land's End

Beach House von Liz Caan & Co. in MA, US

An Artful Dialogue Between Past and Present on the

Shores of Nantucket Sound

On 4.15 acres where Nantucket Sound meets Osterville’s storied West Bay, Land’s End redefines the art of contemporary coastal living. Rooted in Cape Cod’s shingle-style tradition yet guided by a modern sensibility, this expansive residence by Catalano Architects, Liz Caan & Co., and KVC Builders is an ode to art, craftsmanship, and connection. Surrounded by water on its western and southern edges, the home embraces sweeping panoramas and a rhythm deeply attuned to the tides of land and sea.

Within this architectural framework, Liz Caan &; Co. composed interiors that celebrate both artistry and warmth. A layered composition of color and form unfolds, where contemporary art, mid-century Scandinavian pieces, and French Art Deco treasures tell stories of time and place. A 1940s oak credenza attributed to Charles Dudouyt and a sculptural Grand Repos sofa by Guillerme & Chambron bring sculptural depth, while a Fontana Arte glass bowl and Kurt Østervig bar cabinet add moments of refinement and delight. Bold canvases by George Chaplin and Natasha Law spark dialogue with the serenity of Bastienne Schmidt’s sewn abstractions and Jeanette Fintz’s rhythmic compositions, as Aurora Cañero’s bronze Soccorista II lends a touch of whimsy.

At Land’s End, modern architecture and collected history coexist in perfect harmony. The result is a home that transcends time—elegant but approachable, sophisticated yet playful—where art, craftsmanship and design, interact with one another and with the family that calls this their summer sanctuary.
