DETAIL Chrome-plated footrest. The Caprice/Passion collection of chairs has now been extended by the addition of two new stools. These are characterised by an aluminium stem base, while the seat reflects the features of the Caprice chair and the Passion armchair, respectively. Swivelling through 360 degrees, the seats of these stools always align with the chrome-finished foot-rest. Un nombre omnipresente en el mundo de la arquitectura y el diseño contemporáneos, Philippe Starck ha creado de todo, desde interiores de hoteles y yates de lujo hasta cepillos de dientes y teteras. Hijo de un ingeniero aeronáutico, Starck estudió diseño de interiores en la École Nissim de Camondo de París. Comenzó su carrera de diseñador en los años setenta decorando clubes nocturnos de la ciudad, y su reputación de interiorista enérgico y original le valió en 1983 el encargo del presidente francés François Mitterrand de diseñar los apartamentos privados del Palacio del Elíseo.
