A Country House in Devon

A grand country house built around 1790 needed some updating. The drawing room was already painted a glorious yellow with leopard carpet, slightly incongruous for weekends spent shooting pheasants rather than big game. I designed some furniture to work with the existing scheme and make it more liveable. The old ballroom was turned into a party room doubling as play area for children, with a pair of David Hicks-print giant sofas forming a hexagon around my patinated steel ottoman. The sofas pull apart to sit in the corners of the space if the floor is needed for dancing.
