Port Xábia, Spain

Vacation Home de Stelly Selway en VC, ES

Stelly Selway’s redesign of Port Xábia, the Spanish summer home of co-principal Tanya Selway, is a deeply personal ode to family and memory. Set in a charming seaside market town about 50 miles west of the buzzing island of Ibiza, the 1970s apartment, which was originally owned by Selway’s grandparents, was reimagined as a sunlit retreat where generations converge.

Honoring the home’s retro spirit, the designers preserved defining details such as the original cork flooring and pine cabinetry, pairing them with tactile contemporary elements. Gloss-varnished cork, rust-hued terry cloth upholstery, and hand-painted Spanish tiles create a layered palette that balances nostalgia with modern ease.

Infused with both Spanish and British influences, the interiors are animated by personal artworks, vintage finds, and custom pieces, creating a summer home that feels intimate yet vibrant, where design and memory intertwine to celebrate the beauty of family life by the sea.
