SK Residence
This 100-square-meter residence represents the first collaboration between interior designers Irina Borovikova and Sacha Ore . Due to this, they approached this project as an exploration rather than a formula from the very beginning. The home was designed for a young doctor seeking calm, softness and a connection to nature — qualities that shaped both the atmosphere and material choices from the early stages of project development.
The apartment brings together a layered mix of collectible design and artwork, forming an integral part of its identity. Pieces range from the Amparo bar stools in solid jequitibá wood and brass by Alva Design — acquired in São Paulo through WE gallery — to a vintage “Mars” lounge chair by Pierre Guariche sourced through the gallery Pradier-Jeauneau in Paris, alongside two oil paintings by Jingge Dong.
Twentieth century decorative art pieces were curated as sculptural focal points. Objects primarily from the 1960s were selected for their rounded silhouettes and organic references. Wall lights by Goffredo Reggiani, a ceiling lamp in the style of Angelo Lelii, and a pair of “Tulipan” wall lights designed by J.T. Kalmar with frosted Murano glass - all from the 1960s. Alongside these sit contemporary icons such as the Mushroom armchair and pouf by Pierre Paulin, whose soft silhouettes reinforce the same natural, botanical vocabulary. Together, these pieces return the narrative to its central idea — an interior shaped by forms and colours drawn from nature.
