Original "Gladiaator" art nouveau vintage bicycle poster
Located in Spokane, WA
Original Gladiator Cycles. Artist: Gaston Noury. Stone lithograph that has professional archival linen backing. Size: 36" 49". C. 1889. Stone lithograph. Very good condition; ready to frame. The Gladiator Cycle Company, Clément-Gladiator (from 1896), was a French manufacturer of bicycles. The inside of all of the bicycle rims are done in gold or gold foil. Gold is also used in the flowers around the big ring that reads Gladiator. It doesn’t appear that this early bicycle had any brakes, so she may need that angel resting on her shoulder! Fold marks restored during linen backing, ready to frame. There is some waves at the bottom right, but no paper loss or damage. Antique bicycle posters have been and will be very collectible. This original Gaston Noury original stone lithograph is now challenging to find in any condition. Original linen-backed turn-of-the-century antique vintage bicycle...

Original 1898 lithography entitled "Le Concert" by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
Located in PARIS, FR
The original 1898 lithography entitled "Le Concert" by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec is a work of great artistic finesse, capturing both the artist's distinctive style and the elegant scene of society at the time. This lithograph features a well-dressed, wealthy couple in a red theater box. The gentleman is Gabriel Tapié de Céleyran and the lady is Émilienne d'Alençon. The woman is dressed in fur and wears an elaborate black hat, exuding undeniable elegance and sophistication. Lautrec meticulously captures the details of their clothing and expressions, creating a striking depiction of 19th-century high society. This lithograph was commissioned from Toulouse-Lautrec by Ault and Wiborg, American manufacturers of lithographic ink. It was part of a limited edition printed in Paris, with the original zinc plates subsequently shipped to America for printing in the main edition. The four original zinc plates are now housed at the Art Institute of Chicago. This work is all the more remarkable as it is believed to be the only lithograph Lautrec...

Newcomb Pottery Candlesticks, Great Condition, Flowers Estate (New Orleans)
Located in New Orleans, LA
A pair of candlesticks in great condition - no chips or cracks - from the famous Newcomb Pottery program in New Orleans. Beautiful buff grayish-blue glaze. Newcomb mark stamped on bottom. Came from a fine St. Charles Avenue home out of the estate of Chip Flowers of New Orleans, with lots of Newcomb pottery in the collection, including a Joseph Meyer bowl we have also listed on this site. Proudly presented by Guy Lyman Fine Art, New Orleans. If you are reading this it is probably because you are already familiar with Newcomb Pottery, but here's some information from Wikipedia, and there is a wealth of information about it online should you wish to learn more: "Newcomb Pottery, also called Newcomb College Pottery, was a brand of American Arts & Crafts pottery produced from 1895 to 1940.[1] The company grew out of the pottery program at H. Sophie Newcomb Memorial College, the women's college now associated with Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Pottery was a contemporary of Rookwood Pottery, the Saturday Evening Girls, North Dakota pottery, Teco and Grueby. Newcomb College had been founded expressly to instruct young Southern women in liberal arts.[2] The art school opened in 1886 and production of art pottery on a for-profit basis began in 1895 under the supervision of art professors William Woodward, Ellsworth Woodward, and Mary Given Sheerer.[3][4][5] Potters Among the first persons to be hired by the Woodwards to assist with the new pottery...
