Stunning Identical Pair French Heavy Gauge Ormolu and Bronzed Single Light Candlesticks of average size proportions, now converted to a Pair of Electric Table Lamps, with tapering reeded central bronzed column, each ending with three very ornate monopodia supports modelled as Achanthus leaves with a central shell and claw feet on tri-form inverted plain platform base. Mid to late Nineteenth Century.
Condition: Superb condition, these Lamps have been professionally re-gold plated and bronze patinated. Professionally re-wired for electricity.

This is an absolutely fabulous pair of Italian carved wood candlesticks converted to table lamps, early 19th century, painted with ivory lacquer and finished with original gold leaf gilding.
Each candlestick stands on a tripod base ending with scrolled feet, with gilt ornament to the centre panel and gilt decorations to the upper stem; it's the usual pattern with only one side decorated, wired and in perfect working condition.
The lampshades are new handmade using Fortuny fabric, Caravaggio pattern, in deep burgundy & gold color, finished with gold trim.
