18th Century Oak Corner Chair, Circa 1790

About the Item

An 18th century, Georgian period oak corner chair. The shaped top rail supported by baluster turned supports and back splats, with green velvet upholstered drop in seat raised on three squared legs and a centre cabriole leg with pad feet all connected by turned stretchers. Circa 1790. The dimensions are: Height: 82.5cm (32.5in) Width: 75cm (29.5in) Depth: 66cm (26.0in) Very comfortable seating and a rather pleasing example of a country armchair. This oak corner armchair is in good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. The green upholstered velvet drop in seat and back remain in good, clean condition. The antique country armchair remains structurally sound. Overall, a good example.
